Drain Cleaning Toronto — Same-Day Service, Camera Inspection Included
Slow drain or complete blockage? ED Plumbing clears every drain type in Toronto — kitchen, bathroom, basement floor, and main sewer line. We use hydro-jetting and camera inspection to clear the real blockage, not just poke a hole through grease. Same-day appointments available 24/7.

Kitchen Drains
Grease, food particles, and soap scum build into hard caps that snaking can't penetrate. We hydro-jet the full length of the line — from trap to stack — then camera-verify it's clear.

Bathroom Drains
Hair, soap, and calcium deposits in tub, shower, and sink drains. We clear the p-trap and the drain line downstream, not just the visible portion.

Basement Floor Drains
Toronto's older homes (pre-1980) have cast iron floor drains that accumulate sediment and root intrusion. We camera the line to the stack and clear the full blockage.

Main Sewer Line
Gurgling toilets, multiple drains backing up, or sewage smell means the main is partially or fully blocked. We clear it with hydro-jetting and inspect for collapse or root intrusion. A backwater valve can prevent future sewage backup.

Laundry Drain
Washing machine lint and detergent residue cause slow laundry drains. We clear the standpipe and the 2" drain line to the stack in one visit.

Storm Drains & Catch Basins
Exterior drains in your driveway or backyard that overflow after heavy Toronto rains. We clear debris and leaf matter and check the outlet pipe for collapse.
Main Sewer Line Clearing
When several drains back up at once, a floor drain fills while the washing machine empties, or the toilet gurgles when you run a sink, the blockage is usually in the main sewer line rather than one fixture. In Toronto the usual causes are tree roots in older clay-tile laterals, grease, wipes, and sagging or broken pipe. We clear the main line from the cleanout, then run a camera through it so you can see what caused the backup: a one-off clog, roots that will grow back, or pipe damage that needs repair.
The City of Toronto owns the sewer connection from the main under the street to your property line; everything from the property line into the house is yours. If the camera shows the problem is on the City's side, call 311 and give them the camera findings.
Where Is the Sewer Cleanout in a Toronto House?
In most Toronto houses the main cleanout is in the basement, near the front wall where the sewer pipe leaves the house toward the street. Look for a capped fitting with a square or hex plug on the main drain stack near the floor, or a plug set into the basement floor. Many older homes have a running trap (also called a house trap): a U-shaped fitting under the floor with two round plugs side by side. Do not open a cleanout while the drains are backed up, because the water and sewage behind it will come out with force. If your house has no usable cleanout, we can add one when we clear or repair the line, which makes every future clearing easier.

Our Drain Cleaning Process
Camera Diagnosis
We run a camera down the drain before touching anything. This tells us exactly what's blocking it and where — no guessing, no unnecessary work.
Written Quote
Based on what the camera shows, we give you a flat-rate quote. You approve it before we start. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice.
Hydro-Jet Clear
We use high-pressure water (3,500 PSI) to cut through grease caps, mineral scale, and root intrusion. Snaking punches holes; jetting cleans the pipe wall.
Post-Clear Camera
We run the camera again after clearing to verify the pipe is clean and check for any structural issues (cracks, offset joints, collapsed sections).
